Recently, a video appeared on social networks, as if a pygmy hippopotamus was born in Kharkiv, which you can visit with a tour and play. The authors of the video even indicate the conditions and cost of the event.

We want to make it clear: this video has nothing to do with Kharkiv Zoo. It has nothing to do with Ukrainian zoos in general.

The video shows a baby dwarf hippopotamus named Mu Deng, who was born in a zoo in Thailand and immediately became a local star.

The star of the Kharkiv Zoo has been the charming hippopotamus Stepanida for many years. You can see her, like other star animals of our zoo, absolutely free of charge.

We remind you that entrance to the Kharkiv Zoo is free. All events taking place on its territory - excursions, educational lectures, etc. - are also free of charge.
