African savannah

The largest aviary is inhabited by a whole complex of savannah inhabitants.  Savannah zebras and blue wildebeest graze on spacious lawns, accompanied by cannes, giraffes and ostriches

African safari

The exposition is located in three adjacent buildings.  The first is dominated by predators: lions and spotted hyenas.  In the second - pelicans and cormorants.  The third building contains common hippos, Nile crocodiles, hieroglyphic pythons, ring lemurs and Egyptian fruit bats.  The display will include horned crows and griffon vultures.

Wild Australia

A small mixed exposition, adjacent to the Gondwana exposition building on the west side.  Kangaroos and emus live in a grassy aviary.  Black swans are swimming in the pond.

Children's Zoo

The exposition is unique in that young students work and study here.  This is their zoo, where young children acquire unique experience and practical skills in caring for a wide variety of wild animals.

Little guests of our zoo are allowed here to touch, stroke, feed a variety of animals.  Only here and nowhere else children are able to enjoy direct communication with them, to feel joy and delight from their impressions.

Kingdom of the elephants

Spacious buildings with extensive aviaries, trees and pools are at the complete disposal of the land giants - the Asian elephants.  Everything here is provided for their comfortable life so that these smart animals do not get bored.  Small, inconspicuous-looking hyraxes have been settled under the "side" of the elephants.

World of the Coast

Aviaries with spacious pools are inhabited by a variety of near-aquatic animals from all over the world.  Animals that symbolize the North Pole and the South Pole live here.  These are polar bears and penguins.  Otters and striped raccoons live nearby, and the exposition is also represented by semi-aquatic birds.

Tiger trail

The new exposition "Tiger Trail" is one of the largest and most difficult in the renovated Kharkiv Zoo.  The inhabitants of this exhibition represent one of the most interesting and peculiar natural regions of the world - the Far East, covering Japan, Korea, and Eastern China.

South America

The summer exposition is designed in the form of a huge airplane, where visitors can admire the free flight of birds - ibises and spoonbills - in the immediate vicinity.  Red flamingos, bakers, capybaras, giant anteaters and other animals, amazing representatives of the fauna of South America, also live here.

Gondwana

The capital winter building, an exposition presented by the inhabitants of the continents, once united in the giant mega-continent of Gondwana.  South America is represented by brown capuchins, marmosets, agouti and tapirs, Africa by green monkeys, and Australia by Bennett's kangaroos, emus, black swans and parrots (rosellas, cockatiels and song parrots).

Camels

The exposition is represented by some of the most unusual animals, namely the two-humped camels from the deserts of Asia and guanacos - their small relatives from the plains and mountains of South America.

Mountain inhabitants

Exposition consists of two divided areas of the rocky landscape. The first contains the content of torn goats, and the second one contains grivist rams.

Alligator

A separate room, along with an outdoor pond adjacent to the South American Exposition, is intended to house Mississippi alligators.

Terrarium

A capital building intended for year-round exposition of tropical invertebrates, amphibians and reptiles, including terrariums and aquaterrariums ("polydariums").  Exhibits of imperial scorpions, tarantula spiders, exotic amphibians, chameleons, lizards, snakes and turtles are provided.

Planet of the Apes

It is a unique building in our country.  There are huge summer enclosures with trees growing inside.  Here you can get acquainted with the great apes - orangutans.
